Wingspan: 1 1/8 - 1 3/8 inches

Small chocolate-brown butterfly with few markings.

The underside of the hind wing is either unmarked or shows a faint spot-band.

Males show a black diagonal line on the upperside of the forewing, females show several small whitish spots.

Look for Dun skippers everywhere, especially wooded edge habitats.
