The story begins in 2005 when Prince William County Schools proposed construction of a new school on 58 acres of public land at 5901 Davis Ford Road. Today, thanks to the long-term efforts of local communities, this property is slated for use as natural area parkland.

MidCo President Martin Jeter says, "This passive park is sorely needed in MidCounty. Residents are eagerly looking forward to taking a walk through the woods." What's happening to make this new park a reality? Join us to learn more... bring your questions and ideas!

Minnieville Road Buffer - lots of invasive plants to remove and some native plants to plant

Minnieville Road Buffeer

Over the past few years, our Minnieville Buffer restoration near K9 Gunner Dog Park has transformed an environmental problem into a beautiful area that showcases Virginia's native plants.

We need volunteers to help keep this area free of nonnative invasive plants, which are a real problem at this site. Dress for the weather and bring water to drink. We hope you will join us to help keep our community beautiful and green!
